This is exactly what ghostscript does - it converts PS files into some other
printer language e.g. PCL. If you're using anything like a recent version of
any of the major distributions, this should be as easy as falling off a log
- you basically set up a queue for Postscript files which is connected to a
PCL printer. In fact, I think all the current distibutions will setup an
auto queue to which you can send PS or ASCII and a smart script determines
whether or not to use ghostscript.
