Is there a standard approach to dealing with different PCI
cards that are likely to use the same module? I have two circumstances
that is causing me difficulties.
When using two similar network cards in the one PC, which are both
supposed to use the 3c59x.o module, only one of the cards works.
remove the working card and the other one magically comes to life.
So I'm fairly sure all my configurations are correct. And I've
which one is eth0 and which is eth1.
Another similar problem I've been trying to solve is using adlinks
brilliant PCI7300 Digital I/O card. The module works fine when
dealing with 1 card on the PCI bus. Add a second and the module
crashes on insmod. This may be due to me not having the right
settings in the kernel.
Any ideas anyone?
