My parents both use OE, and it actually does have an option to send plain
text emails to certain people in your address book. If it's of any use to
you, you could let the guilty individuals know of this...
Just right click on the person's name in the contact list, click on the
name tab and stick a tick in "Send Plain Text Only".
Not the best really, and if anyone comes up with a workable solution, I'd
also be very eager to see it.
