Hunt down the window maker config files. If you're running the stock ones,
then you should have something in /usr/share/WindowMaker. Mooch around and
find out what is run on startup.

The other option is to edit ~/.xsession, make it executable, and put in:
#!/bin/sh
/usr/X11R6/bin/xscreensaver -lock-mode &
exec /usr/X11R6/bin/WindowMaker
(substitute the real paths and binaries in there)

Then pick default in the kdm drop down menu to run that.

I just added xscreensaver to my autostart directory under KDE, and it's
there with the KPilotDaemon, and that seems to work :) (for KDE though)
