Oh, so one could reasonably object to Quoted-Printable on the grounds
that it's Web garbage that doesn't belong in e-mail, without being
opposed to MIME. Ah, I see.

Not that I'm opposed to caricature. It's a perfectly lovely art form.

OK, so there's the viewpoint that Eric expressed, and then your somewhat
less charitable one, and no doubt many others. But I think it fair to
say that he (and I, the co-author) expressed a strong consensus of
technical users on points of how best to interact with technical forums.

But, as it says at the top of my "rants" page (quoting comedian Dennis
Miller), "That's just my opinion; I could be wrong."
