I'm not too knowledgeable about law in general, but I am sure that
although you will lose any warranty of a product using it "for purposes
not intended", they can't stop you emulating an OS. In some countries,
there are probably laws stating just such an option would have to be
available (see Russia's book laws - I think you have to be able to
produce copies of anything you buy in case you lose an original).

Then again, most people think rules are to be broken :P
