In fairness, one of the major skills in linux or any UNIX is being able to
find/read documentation such as man pages. You only learn this by doing
it. *You* will end up *worse* off if you become dependant on people telling
you the syntax.
Admittedly man pages are not easy to read at first, but it's just a bit of
practice.
