it's probably linuxconf. You may have to use it, or uninstall the thing.

It may have stuck files in /etc/linuxconf, though I expect that would be too
obvious for it. It even outdoes YaST for strange places to keep config
files, and it's the first thing to go on any RedHat box I have.
