oddly enough we recently purchased a Compaq laptop and I was quite
surprised to find it was on FAT32. As Sean recently pointed out to me
offlist, it's not such a bad thing in the sense that you can easily make a
bootdisk (be it linux or dos) which will mount FAT32 should a problem
occur. We're also likely to soon use FIPS on it which is another reason
I'm glad (personlly) it's FAT32.

Still, don't know if DELL use NTFS, but I wouldn't assume.
