Believe it. Haring off as a high-tech start-up from academia, I attended a
Small Business class sponsored the US Dept. of Commerce. First question:
'Why do you want to do this?'. I had begun to organize my answer ('I see
an unfilled need and a way to fill it. We can write good software to do
this...') when I was interrupted by an MBA-type oaf at the back of the
room: 'TO MAKE MONEY!'.

'Right!' said the lecturer. 'If you have any other ideas on the subject,
you are in the wrong place.'

He was right.
