You probably need to build a modeline for your self
For example you could take this one I built for my voodoo 3 3000
on compaq mv520 Hsync 31-54 V 50-120
Modeline "1280x1024" 86.86 1280 1280 1536 1664 1024 1025 1038 1042
To get 1280x1024 on 15" monitor, though I imagine for a lcd the best
you could do is 1024x768 and I would
start with something nice and low like
Modeline "1024x768" 25.1 1024 1024 someval someval 768 someval someval
