Personal cut-backs. The newest member of the Linux community is
expected to arrive in a few weeks, so the IT budget has been slashed.
I'm suggesting that the new arrival be named "Linus Torvalds McClean",
but for some reason my wife isn't keen. Maybe "Dust Puppy" McClean??

I did consider this. But I want to keep my home PC and my work PC in sync,
as in the same Linux distro and version. So I could install via FTP at
work, but that leaves my home system out in the cold. Actually tried
downloading the files from the ftp site (legal?) at work to bring home, but
the download was too much - wouldn't finish.
So, for the moment, it's Mandrake 8.0, featuring dodgy (barely readable)
fonts in most applications.
Regards,
Cormac.
