It is true that the eircom prices are higher than EU averages. But let's
be clear that there is no connection between the flat-rate wholesale ATM
bitstream prices and the usage-based retail IP connectivity prices.
Any ISP is free to purchase the flat-rate wholesale bitstream service
from eircom, and then sell IP service on top of that bitstream link
at whatever price they choose. Some ISP may indeed decide to provide
unlimited IP access, it just doesn't make a lot of business sense.
