If something is not done VERY, VERY shortly, FAQS.org will have to be
shutdown. FAQS.org has lost its funding and I cannot personally pay for
the bandwidth needed to keep it operational. The care and feeding is not
a problem, paying for the bandwidth is. I will shortly have none unless
you can help.
FAQS.org has been supplying services to the Usenet and Internet
communities since June, 1996. It has focused on being an
advertisement-free zone as that is what the community and the authors
wanted. I respected their desires. In retrospect, it might have been
wise to provide limited advertisements but that is a sad statement on
where the Internet and economy went...
They take PayPal and Amazon donations, BTW.
