[ILUG] hdparm

so here's another hdparm q.

im trying to get my home server (suse6.3) to go to sleep..
i have set hdparm -S 240 for the three drives hda hdc hdd
hda keeps starting up again.

setting hdparm -y /dev/hda sends it to sleep for about 15 seconds then it
starts up again.
/dev/hda has /boot and / partitions.
swap is on /dev/hdc

where should i look for whatever is kicking in the drive?
/var/log/messages dosent show anything that seems to be doing it. altough
there is an entry every 20 mins:
