I get that wiht every attachment from a Windows emailer. I always save
the mail to text and then in an xterm do uudecode filename to extract the
attachment. The biggest hassle with this is if there are multiple
attachemnts, uudecode will only extract the first one. It will stop when
it reaches the line with 'end' written on it. You have to manually edit
the text file to delete the first file down as far as the next begin line.
A bit annoying so I'd also love to know if there is any other solution.
For the record, I've seen this with XFmail, the standard Solaris mailtool
and also with Sylpheed which I currently use.
