CDE is a dog alright. I've never seen anything more ugly in my life. No
wonder people fled in droves to windows. Openlook is a lot prettier, and
what i remember from solaris before.
thanks for the directories explanation.. i'll have to do some funky .bashrc
scripts. (i remember some from uni where the same scripts worked across sun
and sgi)
Next question: anyone know how to get solaris to use
shadow.byname/shadow.byuid nis maps, like i can on linux? i had to unshadow
my linux nis maps to get nis logins on the solaris machine working.
i want the shadow stuff for the password expiry stuff.
