I believe gdisk.exe is bundled with Norton/Symantec Ghost
but linux fdisk or the aforementioned open source dos fdisk
should be more than ample. Most linux distros will allow
you boot into the installation and go as far as partitioning
to use their in-built tools or switch to another virtual terminal
to get at normal linux fdisk.

Hi,

I remember using a dos application called 'gdisk' to remove that partition
when I had a similar situation a while back. I cant remember exactly where I
got it, but you should be able to find it with a quick google.
