Not to answer your question or anything (heavens forbid), but the mails
are flagged O because mutt addes a header to the new messages on
quiting. 'Real' new messages don't have this header (can't remembe roff
the top of my head what it's called, and my connection is too damn laggy
to bother finding out), and are therefore flagged 'N'.
