Ok, I d/l'd and installed NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-2880.i386.rpm and
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2880.rh72up.i386.rpm.

Did that.

I now get:
...
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVdriver kernel module!
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libvgahw.a
(EE) Screen(s) found, not none have a usable configuration
Fatal server error:
no screens found
And indeed lsmod does not show anything nvidia related. /etc/modules.conf
has a line for the NVdriver (and I did a reboot, just to make sure).
