[ILUG] Kingpin in Linux

Did anyone else get Kingpin running in Linux? I installed the game in
Windows and downloaded the Linux client at home. I have a TNT based
graphics card but the game was still very, very slow.
Anyone else have similar experiences with a TNT 1?
