But indeed the name IS important - that's why RedHat are doing this. As the
name of Linux becomes more and more know, RH want it to associated in
people's minds with the name of RedHat - hence you can become a Red Hat
Certified Engineer but not a a Red Hat Linux Certified Engineer. Branding is
everything when you're selling to the great unwashed and RedHat want to
become the predominant Linux brand. Witness the bribe they're offering
people to switch to RH7.3 from certain other Linux distributions - you can
bet your ass Alan Cox didn't come up with that brainwave - no, that's
straight out of marketing school.
