Have to admit first that I am reselling their service, but I am
completely unbiased ;-) There are advantages and disadvantages to a
satellite link.
Disadvantages are the latency (online gaming for one is straight out of
the window), the capped service (see Educom's website for exact details)
and the price. Advantages are the speed, the "always on" connection, the
fact that you do not have to deal with/depend on Eircon. Overall it is
the best (and cheapest)offer available in Ireland for people who cannot
afford a leased line or who are not one of the lucky ones who can get
DSL...
