many are console tools, development tools, servers, etc, as well
as GUI applications.

If you're considering buying a new device, the Zaurus has the distinct
advantage of not giving MS WinCE license money - similar to
the problem of buying a desktop PC with windows preinstalled
only to put linux on it, MS will use the WinCE sales figures to claim
higher marketshare.
