Hi Kevin,

We had serious problems here with a domain being transferred to us
for web and mail purposes. Eircom are still the SOA at the moment
for the domain, however we are the lowest priority MX for that
domain.

Of course, Eircom's sensible mail program (I presume it's using some
form of virtual domain table) is deciding to keep all mail for that
domain as it's recognised as being local.

This means that anyone sending mail through Eircom's mail servers to
that domain will have the mail end up in some old POP mailboxes
which were setup for that domain a long time ago. It took quite a
bit of studying mail headers and trying to engineer Eircom's
engineers to figure it out.

Unfortunately because we can't change DNS just yet and Eircom won't
remove these without removing the whole package which isn't
favourable. Quite clever.
