I used mrtg in the last job, coupled with Mon and some heavily hacked
scripts that were once part of a half-arsed package called something
like mrtg-pme (performance-monitoring enhancements). MRTG's generic
scripting stuff is pretty neat for generating pretty pictures, and Mon
can alert you when your disk blows out or whatever.
