I know there are quite a number of people here using MySQL to greater or
lesser extents. How are you dealing with backing up the databases ?

i) Shut down database, copy / snapshot database files, start database again.
ii) mysqldump
iii) mysqlhotcopy
iv) Backing up the live files and hoping God is on your side
v) Backups are for wimmin
