Having a small bit of of samba frustration today. I
set up a linux server on an otherwise homogenous
Windows (NT + 2K) network a couple of months ago. I
installed samba 2.2.3a and managed to get almost
everything working. I was able to share out a drive
from the linux server but was unable to mount WIndows
shares from the Linux machine.
smbclient (-L and -M) allows anonymous login use.
smbstatus lists meaningful data without login
challenge.
mount -t smbfs -o username=myname,password=mypass
//win/share /mnt/win/ however gives me the following
error:
session setup failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access
denied.)
SMB connection failed
and mount -t smbfs //dubint01/ifsc
/mnt/dubfap01_backup/ with no password gives me:
Anonymous login successful
14610: tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess
(Access denied.)
SMB connection failed
Any ideas?
Cheers,
=====
