Hear hear, I think I understand much better how much effort goes into a
full ADSL setup now. ATM required? Certainly some work involved then ;)
The only other ATM setup I've heard deployed in Ireland is (was?) TCD's
ATM backbone, and that took a fair bit of effort to set up!
And Karl certainly has a point that if people are unhappy with the cost
of ADSL, there are certainly alternatives, and people can set up their
own services if they are willing to pay the cost. LEAP sounds like an
interesting alternative even if the limitations are not yet well
understood (by me anyway).
(Still wishing there was an ADSL service priced for normal consumers
like me)
Gary.
