On blocksizes, why 32K? And when should it be larger / smaller figure?
After doing this procedure, will there be any lilo / fstab modification?
I'm just curious, I thought about doing dd and was about to suggest it
[although my own experience with dd has been to copy
1. floppy images
2. copy windozs raid volumes when it couldn't be done with a doze version :)
-> this gave me enormous satisfaction as you can imagine.

p.s.: I didn't go to the AGM purely coz I fell ill. Sorry excuse I know.

Hmm, how about:
1. dd bs=32k if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb
2. reboot with new disk and use ext2resize to extend
your 1 partition to fill the disk (shouldn't affect
lilo I think?).
