[ILUG] Netsaint / Nagios question

I asked the list about monitoring tools recently and the majority opinion
was to look at Nagios (formerly Netsaint). So I'm doing just that but I have
a question of those running it. I want to monitor a half dozen boxes running
in two locations. What's the best way to install/configure Nagios in this
case ?

a) Install it on every box to monitor that box.

b) Install it on one box to monitor every box in both locations.

c) Install it on one box in each location to monitor the boxes in that
location. Have each of those boxes monitor each other so that I get warned
if one location's net connection goes down (for one of the locations this
does sometimes happen)

I'm tending towards c) as the option which gives me the maximum monitoring
ability without having to install, configure and maintain Nagios on every
box but I'd like to hear opinions from those who may have already done this.

Niall
