C&W set up a laser-based system for me in a previous job, and it cost
a hell of a lot. I think we ended up paying 5k on a buy-back basis of
some sort that they were only willing to do because of $reasons. The
only connectivity problems we had with it was when the guy next to our
office ran up a flag which interrupted the line of sight. Other than
that, 10Mbit, no problems. They had a 100Mbit system for lots more
$$$.
Cheers,
Waider.
