Hi all.
We are (still) investigating linux mail server options for a client. I now
have a much clearer idea of the various technologies involved. However,
there is still one key element missing: an administration interface.
Apart from setting up vacation messages and forwards, our client will also
need a system that is fairly simple to maintain after it has been set up.
This would include monitoring mail box sizes, adding new users, resetting
passwords and so on.
I have had a look at the SuSe mail server, which seems to meet most of the
requirements, and it does have a comprehensive web administration interface:
http://www.suse.com/us/products/suse_business/email_server/index.html
I like this solution because it is built around common
components.(Postfix/Cyrus/Apache) But I would like to know if anyone on the
list have experience with this product?
I am also looking at Communigate Pro, although it is a little too
proprietary for my taste. Anyone have a good reason why I should go with
this?
One other requirement: the client are currently using McAfee VirusScan on
Novell. Does anyone have experience of using McAfee with AMaViS? Anything I
should watch out for?
Thanks,
- Matthew
