I think you're getting your wires crossed here. Do you want to (a) run
X in the UML box or (b) run X apps in the UML box and display them on
the containing box? From your talk of xhost and the like, it sounds
like you're trying to do the latter, but the above is an error from X
indicating that you're trying to start an actual server on the UML
box.
