No, I can not telnet port 6000,
usermode:/etc/apt# telnet 192.168.1.1 6000
Trying 192.168.1.1...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
usermode:/etc/apt#
I've also tried your suggestions about xhost and xauth, neither worked, but
judging from your above statement, that's to be expected.
So now what?
