hmmm, possibly. I haven't followed the 2.5 series at all. Everything I am
interested in is with the 2.4 series. About all I really do is follow the
prepatches

Very true, but if it was been included already in 2.5, they would hardly
bother maintaining the 2.4 patches in CVS. I couldn't find any refernce to
2.5 work on their website but I might be blind

Because I'm testing kernel modules and to compile them, I need to have the
kernel source available so I get the includes as well. While it's possible
there is packages out there that have everything I need, I felt it would
be more educational to have the source available and play in there a while

true, it doesn't really matter what the host kernel is.

He has indicated that he would be interested in including it all right.
Especially considering that UML has reached the point where it can boot
itself which is mildly amusing in itself. This may or not be related to
his indication that he is interested in kernel profiling which has brought
the LTT and oprofile people out of the woodwork. UML would definetly help
with tracing and debugging and lately with some of the changes, he has
asked for solid figure to back up peoples arguements which UML and tracing
could provide but which dbench and lmbench can't.
