yeah... imagine what it was like years ago when workstations with 8
or 4MB had to run it. (and i've heard rumours the earliest X
workstations had to get by on just 2MB).

no wait, in this case it's cause the kernel counts any memory mapped
towards memory usage.

oh hang on, if you dont like that you can turn it off with -bc (and
-su saves a bit of ram too).
