Right. What kernel does slackware come with? If it was a 2.0.xx kernel, then
there are a number of packages you need to upgrade if you're going to run a
2.2.xx kernel. Also, "cannot find map file" may have something to do with a
"map=xxxxx" in your /etc/lilo.conf file. Maybe you should post your lilo file.
