kde has some panel apps. I suppose that it would be reasonable to call
kget a panel app anyway . I don't know if the QT and GTK toolkits can
interoperate but I kinda doubt it. I will probably be proven wrong
. On the other hand I do know that both koffice and gnome use CORBA
for desktop comms so maybe a bridge isn't that unlikely.
I haven't been able to dock gnome applets on kde here anyway ..
kde have something called kticker and I believe that there is a
variant which can be used to track stocks.
Best guess is try searching for something along the lines of kStockTicker

I just keep nasdaq.com open .
Can't stop your stocks dropping either.
Best advice there is to expect it to happen. Especially on the Nasdaq.
