It's insane. If you want to get a full-time connection to the Internet,
then get a proper one and don't waste time and resources on trying to
maintain a semi-permanent dialup one.
Yes, there are higher startup costs, but once those are over with, the
running costs are much more reasonable. The quality of service is also
heaps better. And the ISP's will generally pay much more attention to you
if you're a leased line customer than if you're just a tenner-a-month one.
