I think for us home users with a Linux box running in their
bedroom/living room/wherever the chance of getting a box on the net
continuously for several hours every day is very enticing. I won't be
very worried if I don't have it live from 8am to 6pm. The USA is asleep
or working for those hours so a large market/audience is not going to
visit your machine anyway.
I doubt if Esat will offer flat rate access at anything more than 56k
modem rates either, although ISDN would be great!
Gotta go look into how much another phone line costs..
