Well, yes. That's why I said /usr/src/linux*. Current Red Hat kernel
sources end up in /usr/src/linux-2.4.${version}-${revision}, with a
symlink at /usr/src/linux-2.4 pointing at them.

Plus the above, like all good rules, is a guideline only. If you know
what you're at, you shouldn't be particularly bothered about breaking
it or not.
