How many of you are there? If it's more like 5 than 50, then
I'd say a coffee shop like the Winding Stair (or Cafe Mocha). If
you're getting up to 15 or 20 people, you're going to have to
look at something pubby. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
You can book space for 20 or 30 people in (say) the Hairy Lemon
for no charge. I've booked a big table in an alcove in there for
8pm on a Saturday at 4pm on the Saturday :) They're fairly decent
about keeping space.
