That's what I would have thought too. But the DLink faq has a question
along the lines of
Q Why doesn't my card work?
A You have PCI 2.1. So it won't work, it'll power on, but that's it.
So I really don't think that particular card works on pci 2.1, it'd be
good if it did though, as it's such a cheap/decent card and the PCI 2.2
thing is a pain,
