This time I would suggest that the backend of the applet is a standalone
lib, as theres *always* someone who want an app like this. And sure as
god they will go and write anyother one, so might as well make a generic
mailbox/pop/imap/ms exchange! mail existence checker lib, before putting
a few graphics up on top of it.
