It's not a question of eircom not being able to do X, Y or Z. If
you don't configure your equipment to match the eircom service
offering, then of course it's not going to work for you!

The i-stream service uses a very common network configuration of
PPPoE over RFC1483 bridged ethernet on ATM PVC 8/35. Routing is
done (as always) at the IP layer once the PPPoE session is up.
