I've seen (been given, or dug around and gotten) two explanations for
this. One is that the name was registered prior to the current rules
being put in place - property.ie is an example of this. The other is
that you will notice that all rules can be disregarded at the
discretion of the IEDR (subject to size and contents of envelope,
perhaps, but I wouldn't ever suggest that sort of thing actually
happens, oh no.)
