Nah, I'm building a smart monitor for my dialup line because I'm fed
up with the line being kept live by morons scanning me or pinging
various ports on the box. As a side-effect of this, I currently have a
packet-sniffer that hexdumps all traffic with some basic analysis
(protocols, src, dst, port, that sort of thing)

Waider. I don't need to wear the hat since I lined the attic with tinfoil.
