oh why not. i use a buffalo airport for my access point. it's
configurable via a web interface, so that's fine.

i use a linksys instant wireless card. not so happy with it. it doesn't
support wep. and i question its speed. x apps take forever to come up
while my wired computers pop up x apps quickly. i think i've got them
wired through the 100mbs hub now, but it didn't seem to compare well
with the 10mbs hub when i had it.

iwconfig reports the following (note the 2mb/s - i can use iwconfig to
boost it but it falls back quickly - i'm 10 metres from the ap):
