see, the problem is that the states *are* wrong. data goes across that
link all the time. the stats say zero bytes but the act of pointing your
browser at http://ie.suberic.net/ shoots bytes across it. the fact that
this mail has hit the list means bytes have crossed it. yet the stats
say zero packets transmitted. this email alone should be at least 4.
